"just me, some boats, and confused locals"
while in Seraya, i wanted to visit one of its beaches for once. i spotted so many beaches along the way, but i think most of them are unreachable unless you know a local to guide you there. so, i pulled out my phone and started searching for a beach area that at least had a road leading to it on google maps. i found the nearest one and headed there. arrived at Batu Kori beach, a rocky beach that i would never dare to swim at. i met a few fishermen who seemed utterly confused about why i was there in the first place. it’s definitely not a tourist spot, but they were kind enough to warn me not to try swimming there anyway (i wasn’t planning to anyway). i ended up chatting with them for a bit and spent about an hour sitting beside a parked traditional boat while listening to my playlist.
